Meeting Minutes 12-05-2023

Attendees: Dr. Calvin Audis, Jen Lacey, Tania Higgins, Lani Pierie,

Leslie Schuster, Marianne Clements, Lisa Dauchenhousen

Meeting called to order at 12:36pm

Motion made to approve November meeting minutes and financials by

Leslie Schuster and second motion to approve made by Tania

Higgins. All in favor, none opposed.

Bake sale in PV went well. We made 372.15. We are hoping to

participate next year as well but we need to stay longer during the tree

lighting. We will need to have at least two shifts for this event.

We have had several donations but we will try to encourage people

wanting to donate, to write a check instead of using the website. If

people donate through the website, they take 5%. We are still waiting

for our check from Panda Express.

Red Robin fundraising night is on December 12th. We need flyers to

pass out to the kids. Flyers can not be passed out in front of the

restaurant. We will also post on Facebook.

Dr. Audis is requesting 800.00 to pay for a quartet to come from New

York, and run a clinic here for our students. They will possibly perform

as well for the public. We have enough money in our clinic budget to

support this request. This will take place in March. Dr. Audis is also

looking into bringing in a violinist from New York at a later date.

Area festival will take place on March 7th. Concert band and

Orchestra will play for judges at the Chandler-Gilbert Community

College.

Silent auction will take place on December 14th. We will all pull

together to get baskets made for this event. We need at least 10

baskets. Guard will do the bake sale. We need to have the baskets

completed by Monday.

Acker night is on December 8th. Jazz band will be playing at the Hike

Shack from 5:30-8:30. Orchestra will be playing at the Hassayampa

Inn from 7-8:30. We will have the marching band kids walking around

collecting donations.

December 16th is the stocking stuffer bizarre. We have all the shifts

covered and items donated.

Holiday concert is on December 16th. We would like to have a printed

program for this event. We can also add the sponsors on the back of

the program.

Next meeting is on January 9th.
