Meeting Minutes 11-07-2023

Meeting called to order at 12:33pm

Attendees: Jennifer Whittemore, Tania Higgins, Lani Grimaldi-Pierie, Leslie

Schuster, Dr. Calvin Audis, Jennifer Lacey

Motion made by Tania Higgins to approve October's meeting minutes and

financials, second motion made by Jennifer Lacey. All in favor, none opposed.

We have a performance on November 25th at the town center in Prescott Valley.

Jazz band and orchestra will be playing. We have an opportunity to set up a

booth there and sell hot chocolate and baked goods.

Since marching band season has come to an end, the seniors suggested a

scavenger hunt downtown. The seniors will disguise themselves and the

underclassmen will follow the clues and try to find them. When the scavenger

hunt has finished, the kids will meet back in the band room for Chick-fil-a and

movie. This will take place on November 18th. Dinner will be served at 5pm.

The marching band will be playing in the Veterans day parade. Call time is 10am

and the parade starts at 11am. They also play in the light parade on November

25th. Call time is 5pm.

Winter concert is on December 14th.

Kids need to be fitted for concert attire on December 4th. Jazz band kids have

already been fitted. Going forward, we need to keep the uniform room locked so

it stays organized.

Update on fundraising from the football games. We made 2,000 dollars from the

50/50, magnets, and chocolate sales. We should continue with the chocolate

bars next season.

Culver's night was a huge success. We made 540 dollars. Next time we need to

have fewer kids working the fundraiser.

Spaghetti dinner will be on February 22nd. We still don’t have a chair for this

event so we will have to work together to get donations for the silent auction.

Acker night will be on December 8th. Jazz band will be playing at the Hike

Shack, and the orchestra will play outside. We need 20 kids from the marching

band to walk around with donation buckets.

We have a fundraiser night at Red Robin on December 12th.

Panda Express fundraiser will be on November 15th. We will ask kids to pass

out at least 10 flyers to friends and family.

Stocking stuffer fundraiser is on December 16th. We have several parents

making items to sell. All proceeds go to the boosters.

We need to start planning the spring trip for the kids. Maybe a week or two after

spring break. We will need to have a clinic combined with this trip.
