October 18th, 2022 Band Booster Meeting Minutes

Meeting called to order at 12:31pm

Attendance: Jason Taurins (band and orchestra director), Jennifer Whittemore (band booster president), Tania Higgins (band booster VP) Lani Grimaldi-Pierie (Treasurer), Karrie Tuthill (booster member), Leslie Schuster (secretary)

Approval of September meeting minutes and August/September treasurer report: Motion made to approve by Tania Higgins, second motion to approve made by Karrie Tuthill

Bradshaw Football Game: Bus will leave at 3:15. Kids need to be at school by 2pm in uniform. Plan is to have the kids eat between 4:30-5pm and be ready to perform at 6:30pm. No cash at the door.

October 22nd: NAU Performance time has been moved up 15 minutes so performance time is now at 11:45am.

October 29th: Evening invitational and last qualifier for semi-finals.

November 4th: PHS football game

November 5th: Semi-finals, location Gilbert High

Homecoming Parade: Parade and bonfire has been moved to November 3rd. Band will not be attending.

Veterans Day Parade: November 11th, band will participate, paperwork needs to be turned in

State Finals: November 19th at Glendale Community College

Lights Parade: November 26th

Christmas Parade: December 3rd

Aker Night: December 10th

Trailer Update: Mark Davis has agreed to pull the trailer to our festivals

Mile High Festival: raised $4,802.27. Only 25 percent of parent participation. We need to decide by January if we can continue hosting this event. We need someone to chair this event. Also, ABODA requires a certain amount of volunteers to work the event.

Car Wash: raised over $1,100

Pizza Cards: money should be returned by October 28th

Culvers Fundraiser: Tuesday, November 13th. Band kids can work this event. We get 15% of the sales.

Last Minute Stocking Stuffer Bazaar: December 17th. Possible fundraiser. $45.00 to set up a table. We can sell crafts or baked goods. We need kids and parents to make things and work the event. Money will go to band booster.

Doughnut Sales: we will try to sell doughnuts at the football games to raise money

Spaghetti Dinner: March 9th. All in favor for this event. Chair needed for the silent auction.
