Prescott High Band Booster Meeting Minutes June 20, 2023

Meeting called to order at 12:50pm

Attendees: Jennifer Whittemore, Tania Higgins, Lani Pierie, Leslie Schuster, Jennifer Lacey

May meeting minutes and treasurer report approval: motion made by Tania Higgins, second motion for approval made by Lani Pierie.

We have a 5,000 dollar grant from the City of Prescott that we need to spend on band equipment by this Thursday. Ideas are getting the string instruments restrung, buying new instruments, or possibly using the money for the guard to buy what they need.

Marching band uniforms have been cleaned. The concert attire still needs to be cleaned.

Lani officially closed the two accounts and we now have only one checking account for the Band Boosters. Lani will keep track of the students' money individually.

Mr. Perkins has planned the Marching Band show called Shades of Red. There is a YOUTube video on the new band page app. He will be holding a mandatory parent meeting in July to go over fall rehearsal dates and the fall calendar including football games. Band camp is July 17th-22nd.

We will start doing band booster meetings the first Tuesday of each month at 6:30pm. For the month of July, the meeting will be on the 5th because of the holiday. We are hoping to have more parents join the meetings if we hold them in the evenings.
