Executive Board Meeting

Tuesday February 14th, 2023

12:30 PM. - RST Teacher Lounge

1. Welcome

2. Approval of Jan minutes and Jan Treasurer Reports.

3. Mr. Taurins time to address the board with needs and information.

4. The Disneyland Committee met February 2nd and came up with the cost of $600 per student to cover bus, hotel and Disneyland 2 day pass and music clinic. Do we want to offer any scholarships since we have just over $4,000 in our scholarship fund? Or do we want to pay for one item and reduce the cost for everyone?

5. Fundraisers

a. Chocolate bars have been distributed and are selling well. All money will be due March 1st. We got 100 boxes, plus 15 free, but we have to do prize drawings if we sell all of them. Can return unsold boxes before payment is due. A box has 60 chocolate bars and cost us $35, and $25 goes towards the student.

b. Spaghetti Dinner on Thursday March 9th, 2023. Joan Pietro is chairing for us the dinner portion. Still need about 20 more silent auction items. Are we doing pre-sale tickets - how to distribute and account for if we do?

6. How do we go about getting marching band uniforms cleaned?

7. Next meeting will take place February 21st, 2023 at 12:30 in the lounge upstairs at Ruth Street Theater.

UPCOMING DATES BEFORE NEXT MEETING

February 17th - Deadline to commit to Disneyland Trip

February 18th - Regional Honors Concert at Yavapai College at 2pm

February 23rd- Spring Concert

February 28th- 1st half of Disneyland money due

March 7th - Jazz Festival at Liberty High School in Phoenix.

March 8th - Band Festival in Flagstaff.

March 9th - Spaghetti Dinner and Silent Auction
