Band Booster Meeting Minutes January 10, 2023

Approval of December meeting minutes and financials: Motion made by Tania, seconded by Leslie.

Disneyland Trip: Drive there April 27th, spend the 28th and 29th at Disneyland, and the studio experience on Sunday the 30th. Students will bring their instruments. Now we need to figure out transportation and hotel. Mr. Neely will present the Disneyland proposal to the school board. Jennifer will look into the cost for the hotel. We need to also figure out how much the coach buses will cost. Everything needs to be added up so we know what the cost is per student. We have 56 kids going on the trip. Tania will be added to the Disneyland e-mails.

April 21st: Jazz band will perform at the Prescott Library from 3-4pm.

Pep Band: Pep band will start to perform at some of the basketball games. Jason will meet with Missy to decide on the dates.

Jon Gomez will be coming on January 12th to work with the kids. He will need a check for 300.00 for his services.

Stocking Stuffer Bizarre: We made 461.77 at this event. It was a great success.

Marching Band uniforms won't be needed anymore so we will work on getting those to the cleaners.

We plan on selling chocolate from February 1st through the end of the month.

Spring Concert: February 23rd, we need to ask the color guard to do a bake sale

Jazz showcase with the Mile High Kids will be held on March 2nd.

Festival will be on March 7th and 8th. We will need chaperones for these trips. On the 7th the Jazz Band will travel to Liberty High School in Phoenix. The 8th will be in Flagstaff.

February 17th-18th is regionals in Flagstaff. Tryouts for regionals is on January 28th in Flagstaff.

Spaghetti Dinner will be held on March 9th. Set up will start around 3pm. Dinner is from 5-7pm. We will not have gluten free pasta this year. We need to advertise in the newspaper and make a banner to get the word out about the spaghetti dinner. We will get salad and breadsticks from Olive Garden. We need to work on getting donations for the silent auction. We want prom tickets again this year and VIP tickets for the football games. It might be a good idea to pre-sale tickets to the spaghetti dinner. We should have tickets ready before the February meeting. We will try not to overbuy the food for the spaghetti dinner. We need a volunteer sigh up for this event.

Silent Auction made 1,353.58

We will brainstorm about better items to sell next year at the football games.
